THE COURSE

CIT International developed a 2-hour on-demand CIT Coordinator recertification course for those wishing to recertify. This virtual on-demand course is a refresher on the important role a CIT Coordinator has in improving crisis response. We will review the core elements and best practices of the Memphis Model CIT program.  There is a short exam to conclude the course in order to receive your certificate. 

WHO IS IT FOR?

Recertification is only available to those who have attended and completed the 8-hour CIT Coordinator Certification Course through CIT International, and whose certification has not lapsed beyond the 90-day grace period.  Those whose Coordinator Certification has lapsed for more than 90 days and did not recertify, are required to take and successfully pass the 8-hour CIT Coordinator's Certification course to receive another original certification.

RECERTIFICATION PROCESS

You will receive an email that you are eligible to take the recertification course.  You must complete recertification within the three month grace period of when your certification expires to maintain full certification.  If you miss this time period you will need to take the full CIT Coordinator's Certification course again if you wish to be a CIT Certified Coordinator.

Recertification is valid from the date you take the Recertification course and is good for three years, and includes a three year CIT International membership (a $75.00 value). Successful completion of the course also allows you to continue to have access to the CIT Certified Coordinator's Portal where you can access the Discussion Forum as well as resources.

After you register, you will receive an email confirming registration including a link to complete the CIT Coordinator Recertification Course.
